Saves the Day

This week I wanted to introduce you to “Pluto”. A little under 5 years ago our company had the opportunity of a lifetime to rescue eight Lipizzaner horses. A once prestigious facility out in the mid-west fell on hard times and could no longer care for these horses. All eight horses had no training and were in desperate need of care. After a few years of love and training at our facility here, they have all fully recovered and are living great lives. Four of the rescues are actually featured in our show currently (three of which are “Airs above the Ground” horses!). Three of the other horses have been privately purchased since they have recovered here (two of them are actively competing). So that leaves just one… Pluto! He’s the only rescue horse here now (and will one day be in the show). Amanda Rossiter has been working with Pluto the last two years and they make a great pair. He’s gone through a huge attitude change since being here and now works off of positive energy. Pluto really loves his job and enjoys the work. He’s attentive, has tons of energy and is very eager to please. His favorite thing to do is the passage because it gives him a chance to show off his “stud-ness”! What stallion doesn’t? He has successfully learned to do a perfect Mezair in hand and under saddle! You can visit our webpage to look up the Mezair: http://lipizzaner.com. Pluto is a great horse and we’re so happy to have given him a second chance on life. He’s sure to join the show one day so be sure to keep an eye out for him!
