Updates from the Barn!

Well, it’s been over two months since our last blog. I have so much to share with you! Our three newest babies are doing fantastic! Barbana, Radar, and Bora are all healthy and having a great time learning about all the happenings in the barn. Barbana and Radar have started shedding their baby coats and growing in their lighter and sleeker adult coats. I took some pictures today while they were out in the arena playing (Radar is the slightly smaller one with the light brown areas). Radar spent most of his time rearing up and trying to get his mom to join in on the fun.

Our trainer, Dave, has started to train one of our three year old Lipizzaner/Andalusian stallion crosses, Neopolitano Lanca (“Lil’ Mags”). He is my personal favorite in the barn! He has the sweetest personality and is so handsome with his long flowing mane and tail. He eats carrots like bugs bunny, taking little nibbles until the whole thing is gone. So far, he’s starting work on the lunge line and is doing great. He moves really pretty so I’m looking forward to watching him grow up and move forward in his training. For being a young stallion, he is very well behaved and respects your space when handling him. You’ll be seeing more pictures of him as he continues his training. Go Lil Mags! (He's the grey pictured above on the lunge line)

Our trainer, Amanda, has been working with one of our six year old Andalusian geldings, Barquillero (“Barky”). He’s been broke for a few months and has been looking fantastic at the walk, trot, and canter. He’s for sale, so he’ll make a great dressage prospect for someone. We’re so proud of how he’s progressed in his training with Amanda! (Barky is pictured above under saddle with Amanda)

Everyone else at the barn is doing excellent. The heat has been a little rough here in Florida, so it’s great to have the covered arena to escape the sun! The tour is also doing great and the “road horses” will be back in December for a little break from the road. You can go to our webpage to check tour dates, horses for sale, etc. www.Lipizzaner.com
